Unidentified military convoy spotted heading south on AH1

A significant military convoy comprising approximately 40 vehicles has been observed moving south along the AH1 highway near Isfahan, according to local reports and satellite imagery reviewed by multiple OSINT analysts. The convoy, first spotted at approximately 06:00 local time on Wednesday, includes what appear to be IRGC ground forces logistics vehicles — including flatbed trucks carrying covered cargo, fuel tankers, and at least six armored personnel carriers.

Satellite imagery from Planet Labs, analyzed by open-source intelligence researcher @IntelDoge on X/Twitter, shows the convoy stretched over approximately 3.2 kilometers along the highway between the Isfahan toll plaza and the Shahin Shahr junction. Vehicle spacing and formation patterns are consistent with IRGC ground forces logistics protocols, according to military analysts familiar with Iranian doctrine.

The direction of travel — southbound on AH1 toward Shiraz and eventually Bandar Abbas — suggests potential reinforcement of southern coastal defenses or pre-positioning of assets near the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC's 17th Ali ibn Abi Talib Division, headquartered in Isfahan, is known to maintain significant ground forces in the region. However, it remains unclear whether this movement represents a routine rotation or an operational deployment.
